PUBLISH A CLUSTER ON YOUR BLOG OR WEBSITE

Automatically DISPLAY A CLUSTER OF FAVORITES to your website using a javascript or json feed

BookmarkSync allows you to publish an individual cluster to your blog or website. These links will be continually updated with the latest bookmarks recently uploaded to our servers by all our members storing bookmarks in that cluster.

Do you like to Travel? So do thousands of our other users. Whenever any one of them bookmarks a great new travel related website, it will appear in your syndicated cluster roll on your website or blog. You will see a new link in the 'Travel' cluster every hour or so.

You can also offer the javascript code on your own website or blog. Whenever you add or modify one of your links in your favorite browser, the changes will be automatically published to every site that contains the javascript.

You can also publish a BookmarkSync cluster to your site. Clusters are groups of similar websites that are being bookmarked by tens of thousands of users, in real-time. Keep your content fresh and current and help your users find the latest new sites in your area of interest.

Syndicating Clusters:

Copy and paste this code to your website to publish this cluster.

<script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.sync2it.com/rss/?feed=js&src=t&c=shopping&sort=date&tgt=blank&cnt=20"></script>

Build your own script

The javascript above has a couple of variables that you can modify to make it suitable for your site.

The 'c' parameter is the cluster name that you to publish. (i.e. 'COMPUTER+HARDWARE')
The 'cnt' parameter is the number of links you want returned. (1-50 links)
The 'sort' parameter may be either 'alpha' or 'date'. (default is 'date')
The 'tgt' parameter may be either 'self' or 'blank'. (default is 'blank')

Here is an example cluster roll generated by using the code above. This may not be what it will look like on your site though. The resultant html code will pick up the style sheet used for your pages and therefore should fit in very nicely with your own content and site design.

Using this code you can display the JSON feed in the format shown below

Bookmark Clusters are generated and maintained by Susie, our automated librarian.

Status: Susie is ON BREAK.    More about Susie...

(Note: Some clusters update more frequently than others, 'Software' for instance will scroll with new links every few minutes, while a more obscure topic may only receive a link or two per day or longer.)
